Some of the states offer scholarships paid for by the lottery. Generally I’m not for lotteries, but I do try to pass on information about the promised benefits.

Since I’m in Arkansas, I know of two websites that will help.

We Miss You Anna

Anna Charity Smith;
The child who was born to us on August 31st in 1987.
We miss you so much.
I love how when you were little and I called you the “Kissing Monster” and you would laugh and jump all over me and smother me with kisses. That was awesome and a memory I will never forget.
I love how you used to say “mazagine” instead or “magazine” and we didn’t correct you. I’m sure you’ve got it right now.
I love how when one day you were sitting at the kitchen table with your hands folded on top of your head praying out loud. When I asked what you were doing, you told me you were “praying on your head”. It was the closest thing at the time that you knew how to do in terms of praying IN your head.
I love how you taught yourself to read after you had just barely turned 4; and then began reading everything in sight (traffic signs, things on store shelves etc) It did not matter to you or to us that you pronounced many of those things incorrectly, you just could not get over your excitement of learning a new skill. You carried that same thrill of excitement through many of your days at “home school”.
I love all your creativity when drawing, your talent when making funny voices (and the time you made a tape for a parakeet we once had, in order to teach it to talk) and when you started dancing with Nicole and later made up dances that you performed all on your own for the church youth group.
I loved when any of us received a card or letter from you in the mail filled with the thoughtful loving words which reflect the person that you are. It brought such joy to our hearts and bitter-sweetness in our yearning to see you again.
I love the last time I saw you back in December of 2007 and I hugged you and told you that I missed you and loved you. That is my most precious memory of us for now.
I love that you are our daughter; but most of all I love you.
I think of you and pray for you day and night and I hope for a day to come very soon when we are united again with Jesus’ love reigning supreme.
Until then, I continue to hold you in my heart and in my prayers.
